We've tried to streamline the process of creating a Digital Delivery Memo. Thus, the creation of the Digital Delivery module which works with your FTP program to automatically send files to a specified location on your website.

1. Create a Memo as usual. Be sure to only add Images to the Memo which have scanned Previews and Thumbnails in ProStock.  FOR PURPOSES OF THIS EXAMPLE, LET'S SAY WE HAVE CREATED MEMO NUMBER 100082 FOR THE CLIENT ID 2020.

2. Choose a location for ProStock to save the files, such as a folder on your C drive called "digital_memos".

3. If you would like to use a custom Digital Delivery Memo form:

  1. Select "Tools" in the menubar.
  2. Then "Create Digital Delivery" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select "Thumbnails and Previews".
  4. Then select "Custom Form".
  5. Choose a template.

4. ProStock will prompt you for a location to copy files to. You'll enter your default digital file location (the folder you created in Step 2) and add the client ID.  So for our example, you'd type in C:\digital_memos\2020.  This step does the following:

  1. Creates a folder called 2020 inside your C:\digital_memos folder.
  2. Finds the custom Digital Delivery Memo you selected in step 3, copies it, and places it in the 2020 folder.
  3. Copies all the thumbnails and previews from the memo into the 2020 folder. Renames them with their ProStock Image IDs and updates the file pointers on your memo.
  4. Now all the files you need exist within one folder which you can now upload to your website.

5. Next, a setup screen appears, allowing you to FTP the files to your website.  Your default FTP settings will appear, which you will need to define the first time you use this. After that, they should appear automatically.  FTP to your site, to a folder named after the client ID (For our example, you would upload to a folder called 2020).

6. All that's left now is to tell your client!  This same setup screen allows you to email your client a link to his Digital Memo, with name and password, if necessary.
